Where I've Been

So it's been about two weeks since my last post on here, and I thought I'd let you guys know what's been happening in my life. If you're wondering why it's been about two weeks since my last post on here, it's because I'm lazy. Long story short, life's been whatever. I haven't been doing amazing mentally, and this semester and my classes are really not helping. I feel like that's just everyone at this point. 

Maybe it has something to do with the fact I'm a studio art major, or that I can't get a job, or that my ceramics class is driving me up a wall. Whatever the reason, here's the last two weeks in picture format. Because I don't feel like typing all this shit down.

In other news, I got blink-182's new album ONE MORE TIME... at Target the day it came out. It's so good. I've had the song "OTHER SIDE" on repeat for some time now. If I had one point of criticism it's that the album relies a little too heavily on nostalgia. But I don't really care. Songs are catchy, playing is tight, and it's a solid album overall. I also got some Pokémon cards at Target. I haven't played a Pokémon game since like 2012 so my knowledge of the newer games is pretty much non-existent. 

My friends and I went to GameStop a while back for the midnight launch of Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I didn't get either as I'm poor and don't own a PlayStation 5 or a Switch, but it was about the experience, ya know?

I saw Hanoi Ragmen perform live at my school tonight. It was awesome.

And yeah, that's about it really. Those were the good moments. I don't mean to sound so depressing, I don't know what the fuck is going on. My band, Motif1, is playing a small show tomorrow night (I guess it's tonight, since it's 02:29 in the fucking morning) and I can't wait. We're going to be...dressed up. You'll see.

Trip to Walmart

My friends and I went to Walmart yesterday. I took some pictures there.

Finally, MrBeast Nerf Blaster for 69 ;) dollars.

We found Jesus in the Arts & Crafts aisle. 

Yet another unreal expectation for women: don't have ears.

I am about to cause a scene at the Walmart display toilet.

Friday the 13th

It's Friday the 13th of October. I am more scared today than I usually am the other 364 days a year. 

I had band practice today. We met up in the music hall and we squeezed into one of the available practice rooms. It sounds like it would be a pretty open space, but fitting in a full piano, a piano bench, another chair, a bass amp, plus the three of us and our own instruments... it gets pretty crowded. But we played through a handful of songs together. Most are covers, but we're still working on our originals. We plan to play a gig during the weekend before Halloween, which I'm really looking forward too. I finally got the bass part to "Should I Stay or Should I Go" by The Clash down which I'm actually proud of. Anyway, here's some pics.

This Past Weekend

Another weekend happened. On Friday there was a small concert on campus. I didn't recognize either of the bands performing, but they were good. There were plenty of sound issues tho. 

I visited Charlottesville, Virginia for the first time on Saturday. Here's a picture from the drive down there. Very scenic, would go again.

Found this lil guy on the door to the balcony at my apartment. I named him Arpeggio. He didn't even flinch when I took his picture like 20 times with the flash on. I wish I could have kept him.

You people disgust me.

Food

After a cappella rehearsal on Thursday, my friend and I wanted to get dinner. It was pretty late, about 22:00, but we planned to go to Taco Bell since it was open late and within walking distance. Once we got there, we found the dining room section closed early, and only the drive-thru was open late. I tried to park myself in the drive-thru lane, but they didn't accept that. We then made our way across the parking lot to the Dominomino's that still had its lights on. After we ordered, the cashier guy went to add it to the computer at the back. Problem is, the computer CRASHED when he tried to put our order in. Nice one, Windows 11. So after a few minutes figuring out what to do next, we eventually decided on Pizza Hut. It's right next to the McDonald's and also a HIKE from where we were standing. My friend called ahead and placed our order as we walked, and then we waited outside the seemingly closed Pizza Hut for about 15 minutes. Eventually we made our way to the back where I once again parked myself in the drive-thru lane to get our food. And that is the story of how we got dinner on Thursday. 

Also, there was a small petting zoo on campus on Thursday. Best part was petting this mini pony. Look at this guy.
